Split payment

When the parameter splitpayment is set to 1, you can split a payment up in two or more transactions and capture smaller parts of the amount one at a time. You can keep capturing until the full amount has been captured. When using split payment, the full amount is not reserved, which is standard procedure. Instead, the payment is only approved and the payment card validated.

Supported acquirers​

To use partial withdrawal through Nets / Teller, Handelsbanken, Elavon and Swedbank, it is necessary to include this extra parameter when the payment window is loaded.

Bambora automatically supports partial withdrawals without the requirement to include additional parameters.

Please note that the entire purchase amount is only reserved using the following acquirers: Bambora, Handelsbanken, Elavon and Swedbank. If Nets is used, the full amount will not be reserved and you can risk that there is no coverage. Therefore, withdraw the amount in question shortly before the customer's order is shipped.

Nets' error code 116 - no sufficient funds​

If you're faced with an error code 116 from Nets when trying to capture a part of the amount, the reason is that the amount is not available on the payment card.

We strongly recommend that you capture the amount before shipping the product to the customer.
